Dream ConstraintsDrawings, Winter 2025
A work exploring (1) technology is a tool that constrains the creative process and (2) the body is the ultimate author of the image. How can we admit that technology constrains the creative process while still maintaining the body as the primary author of artwork? In this work, a recurrent neural network is trained on an incomplete archive of the artist’s dreams from 2019 to 2025. More dreams are generated, and the artist uses them as drawing inspiration.
